Rose's House in Norway... After Doomsday... Before Journey's End

This is not somthing I usually share... After doomsday I spent WAY too much time on this mental project. I was more intrested in what happend to Rose than the doctor after Doomsday. In my mind this was Rose's house in Norway where she studied the crack which was kind of analgous to the one in Cardiff in our universe...

We should of seen what happened to Rose in maybe a one series spin off!

If it is of intrest I could share what I came up with... again it is pretty involved...

It is just my wood bookshelf as the back drop. The fireplace and the window came first from a local craft shop. I though they looked kind of plain so I printed a picture of an interior of the fireplace cut it out and put it in. Then the window. this house is conceptually a hill overlooking the beach at bad wolf bay so I found picture from Norway from the web that looks like the beach.

Next came the door, Sofa, chair, and rug came from a doll house shop that came very recommended from the craft store

The table and chair I had already. The monitor was part of Star Trek Enterprise Lt Reed Tactal station that I had an extra of. The printer was the only piece I was able to use from an office set from toys r us. I painted the printer black and put a little piece of paper on the printer.

Then came the finer details... The crack in Norway is not the only one the little "Satellite Photos" on Rose's Desk are sites that she thinks have other cracks... I took a screen shot from goggle earth of Norway, Tora Bora Mountain, The Shetland Islands, and Wolfe County Minnesota USA.

Then came the map on the wall. where rose has circled the sites but the map shows a differnet world than ours.

I guess I made a series of leaps from the notion that there were lighter than air ships over the alternate London in Age of Steel. Why where there no jets? Well... I thought... WWII never happened... why becasue the United States comes in on the side of the Kaiser and Germany. Now in the early 21st century the information age has happend eventhough the atomic age did not. The US is not Brritan's ally but the US and britan are engauged in a cold war.

This is brilliant. I love the way it's so simply made on a shelf! I think it's wonderfull how you've used your imagination to think of "WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!!" It's what lots of people do. I did it when I saw Doomsday, when it first came out, but didn't have the thought of thinking where she'd live. It's wonderful.
